Jefferson Sheard Architects have secured planning permission for a major 72,000 sq. ft urban logistics scheme in Welwyn Garden City for clients HBD.
The new Tritium development will provide three high-quality units of 39,876 sq. ft., 17,976 sq. ft. and 13,396 sq.
Jefferson Sheard Architects. Project Director, Joe Dickeson said “The design needed to pay careful consideration to existing site constraints whilst maximising the development potential for the client. The proposed building seeks to contribute positively to the urban setting and further encourage business growth and employment within the area.”
Jefferson Sheard Architects, Project Architect, Chai Chavan added “ Targeting BREEAM Excellent was a key driver for HBD and influenced the design development. The scheme incorporates energy efficiency initiatives such as photovoltaic cells to collect solar energy and design elements to maximise natural light and reduce energy consumption.”
Work is expected to begin on site in Q4 2022
