Jefferson Sheard Architects designed and delivered the new 124,000 sqft commercial unit with client HBD for end occupier Ipeco.
The new building provides manufacturing accommodation covering the area of 17 football pitches, for the specialist aircraft seating company. This marks a major milestone in the progression of the Airport Business Park at Southend, a 55acre development by joint venture partners HBD and Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, which will provide a boost to the local economy through the creation of multi-use flexible business accommodation.
Jefferson Sheard Architects, Director, Joe Dickeson said;
“We have been involved from the early concepts stages of this scheme and are excited to see the completion of the first commercial unit at Southend Business Park for Ipeco. Delivering in the midst of a pandemic has certainly presented new challenges but through staying client focused and a fantastic team effort, we are delighted with the final building. It’s exciting to see the business park starting to take shape and we’re looking forward to further projects starting on site.”
