In the recent prestigious property awards, over 500 property professionals gathered to celebrate some of the regions most inspirational and exceptional build projects. From an exceptional number of entries 44 projects were shortlisted.

Chairman of the regional judging panel Andrew Kellaway said: “The competition was intense this year with an extremely high standard of entries. Very little separated the award winners, which is a major testament to the work of the companies behind these projects.”

As the architects who designed and delivered the South Cheshire College Campus, we are proud to announce that the project was awarded a highly commended in the category of ‘Design and Innovation’.

The concept behind the design of the Campus clearly supports the College’s desire to create an integrated environment that sits well within the community. The new campus supports a wide range of traditional and vocational learning opportunities but also has a wide range of facilities and services available for businesses and the local community.

The RICS Judging Panel commented that the “South Cheshire College in Crewe was Highly Commended for its new carbon-neutral, state-of-the-art campus development project. The new building enhances the quality of the education that students receive at the college and has helped lead education in Crewe and Nantwich into a new era.”.

Nigel Peet, Director of Operations and New Build at South Cheshire College, said: “We are delighted that South Cheshire College has received a highly commended award and that the outstanding work of the whole project team has been recognised in this way.”

Tom Rhys Jones of Jefferson Sheard said “It’s been great working with such a visionary client who demanded that we created a strong and distinctive concept then never lost sight of that vision in the delivery of what is, if we say so ourselves, a fantastic building.”
